My name is Andrea Ferro, I am currently a New York based actress. I was born and raised in Miami, Florida but my roots originate from Caracas, Venezuela.
My journey began when I was around 3 years old and I would spend my time playing and napping in the seats of the audience. My Dad was the Producer and founder of a Miami theater called Venevision International Theater. As a young girl I remember dreaming about one day being able to perform on stage. My love for the theater grew every time I would follow my dad to work and see the actors express themselves in ways I had only dreamed of. Finally, at the age of 14, I decided to audition for The Area Stage Conservatory in Miami, Fl. The moment I walked through the double doors I knew I was home. They became my family and I went on to do 13 musicals with them in 4 years. After acknowledging the fact theater was where I belonged, I decided to apply to The Atlantic Acting School. Once accepted, I moved to New York City at 18 years old and began my two year training at the conservatory. I graduated from The Atlantic in May of 2017. In June, I had the honor of originating the role of Trini in Baño De Luna written and directed by the Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Nilo Cruz. After that incredible experience, I went on to do a 45 min. monologue with music, written and directed by Nilo Cruz as well called Farhad Or The Secret Of Being. Most recently, I was apart of the 24 Hour Plays: Nationals ensemble where I performed a musical at Theater Row.
